Body’s Way of Speaking Up

Pain in the neck

Stiff. Rigid. Inflexible.

Whose pain is it anyway?

What does it try to convey?

I freeze. And so does my neck

Waiting. In painful anticipation

For relief.

None comes. The outside help

Works only for a while

It’s waiting to be set free

From inside.

To let go of old beliefs

Which make my neck

Tighten and shrink

Inwards

Desperate to be rescued

To melt into a soft embrace

Reassured

Soothed, loved up, accepted.

I stumbled across a couple of poems I wrote back in 2017. I was shocked to feel the depth of pain and stuck-ness I had been experiencing at that time.

How much can change in five years?

A lot!

No more pain in the neck physical or metaphorical. I left the situations which made me feel trapped and unhappy. All the frustration I had in the marriage that didn’t work and the stress from the job  that I didn’t like anymore got lodged in my body.

I realised that all that pain was my body’s way of saying ‘enough’!

Is your body speaking up? Pains and aches are really good way-in into healing emotional frustrations, plus I can help you to let go of the pain that’s impacting the quality of your life.

Drop me a line if you want to explore this with me.
