What if you could become confident too?

I grew up in a poor family, where people struggled financially and had a love-hate relationship with rich people. The lifestyle I saw on TV or in other people’s lives felt out of my reach. My family could never afford what I wanted, so I learnt to suppress my desires and settle for little.

With time these patterns formed a part of my identity. I was a hard-working person who had to battle her way in life to get what she wants. Nothing ever came easily to me and there was a certain element of pride in thriving in adversity.

At some deeply unconscious level, I had to run this pattern in order to be loyal and respectful to my family system: who was I to be rich and happy when my family had so much hardship and suffering? The only way to fit in and belong was to continue running patterns around lack.

In effect, these were survival strategies that got me here. But with time I realised that these strategies sabotaged my success and held me back.

I had to heal my relationship with money and my family legacy in order to embrace a new identity of someone who is confident, trusting life, able to receive, feels loved and safe…
