Who Are You Talking To?

In order to market your services successfully, you need to nail four components:

1.     market (your ideal clients),

2.     messaging,

3.     mindset and

4.     money blocks.

In my experience, until you heal blocks in each of these areas, your marketing success may be limited. Blocks to attracting a consistent flow of paying clients have deep roots, which often go back to your childhood (and sometimes to past lives!). Any unhealed personal experiences of abandonment, rejection and low self-worth are likely to show themselves in your work with clients.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing insights about each of these four components.

Today’s theme is ‘market’.

So who are your ideal clients?

Personally, I had a lot of resistance to nailing this aspect of my business for a few years. I didn’t want to limit myself as to who I help. The tools work on any issue, why should I narrow down my focus? I want to help everyone!

The reality is that you can’t heal 8 billion people on this planet, but narrowing down your audience can help you to be more specific with your messaging (more on that next week), and enable you in reaching clients who could truly benefit from what you offer.

The thing is if you’re clear on your audience, how you show up may be different: if you’re working with children with ADHD, your marketing will be different to someone who works with parents who were diagnosed with ADHD.

So who could benefit from your services the most? How can you reach them? What’s their preferred means of communication?

Some practitioners get a limited success with their services, because they’re trying to sell clients a particular healing method. That might have some traction with well-established tools, but on the whole people buy results. The ‘how’ is secondary.

For example, if you’re selling compassion key sessions people may be drawn to you, but you’re in  competition with all other compassion key practitioners. It’s harder to stand out in the crowd. But if you’re helping your clients to heal from narcissistic relationships, for example, you’ve got a specific audience. You can still use compassion key to help your clients, but your marketing is tailored to delivering specific results.

But knowing who your ideal clients intellectually is not enough – otherwise, you would have nailed it by now, because this is what the traditional marketing focuses on. Get in your clients’ shoes, mirror their words, let them know that you understand their problems.

In my experience, you need to heal any disconnect and resistance to calling them in. I can help you to become magnetic to your ideal clients, where they can spot you anywhere because you have a deep energetic connection that transcends any words.
