The Key to Successful Marketing

Today’s piece of the puzzle is about mindset.
Your mindset is one of the keys to your marketing success. Think about it: if you come to the table with the attitude that you’ll be rejected, no one wants what you’ve got, you’re being a nuisance and someone is bound to get angry with you for what you say or do, guess what? It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You may not be even conscious of doing this but if you catch yourself thinking:
'There's no point in marketing this service. No one will buy from me anyway.'
'I can't possibly charge clients X amount. No one would pay me that!' etc. you might need to change your mind(set).
At some subconscious level, this is protection from disappointment and rejection. A young part of you still believes that if you reject yourself first, other people’s rejection won’t hurt as much.
Well, it does. Besides, they respond to your energy and if you’re rejecting yourself, they join you too.
Mindset blocks have got little to do with your clients. It’s mostly old experiences when you felt like a misfit at home or at school, didn’t feel like a cool kid who got all the attention, had to become invisible to survive….
When you heal some of this old baggage, you can come to marketing with a fresh attitude of ‘Here am I. And this is what I offer. If this resonates with you, then join me.’
