My 2022 Proud List

As the year comes to the close, I like making a list of things I’m proud of. Often achievement is measured by something tangible, like meeting your financial targets.

To me, the way you dealt with a difficult situation and set clear boundaries or maintained a strong relationship with your children are priceless. Off the top of my head, here are a few things I feel proud of in 2022.

1.      2022 was all about my family, which includes my loved ones in England, but also in Azerbaijan. I had a trip to see my mum and siblings in May, and then again with my children in October. I’ve made so many fun memories, including a 160-page photo album from PhotoBox.

2.      If you live in England you probably know that seeing a gyno is impossible unless you’re dying. So when I was visiting my family in Azerbaijan, I went for a check-up. They said I might need a surgery, which really unsettled me. As soon as I got back, I threw everything at it: daily energy healing sessions with various colleagues, weekly acupuncture and craniosacral therapy, reflexology and massage, constellations and herbal medicine. It felt like a full-time job for about 2-3 months, by which time my referral appointment on the NHS has finally come through. Guess what? They said I had nothing to worry about it. Phew!

3.      I’ve been writing my second book, despite a lot of difficult content. Life has been busy, so I’m learning to set chunks of time aside for writing. I had my first writing retreat in January when I had COVID. My second retreat was way more pleasant. I had a few days in France walking and writing for hours every day. And as I write this, I’m about to embark on the third writing retreat of the year.

4.      If I could choose a word for 2022, it would be ‘Retreats’. I had 12 (yep, I know), 12 retreats in 2022. I ran 3 retreats with amazing groups of women which created so much deep healing. I co-organised and participated in two retreats with other people. I attended two 6-day retreats in order to run better retreats. And finally I have attended 5 healing retreats for myself (I walk my talk, what can I say?). By the way, if you feel drawn to join my retreats, my 23-26 March retreat is filling up fast. Act now to avoid disappointment.

5.      I had some fun interviews this year with Joel Young, Uzma Asghar and Kristine Backes. I’d love to have more of those in 2023, so if you want me to contribute, please just drop me a line.

6.      I’ve had the best financial year since quitting my university law lectureship in December 2020. I have finally found my rhythm with work and really enjoy delivering a wide range of offerings. The feedback from people has been phenomenal – I feel so blessed to do what I do and to witness the transformation and healing in other people’s lives.

7.      I had my Reiki master initiation in 2022. Reiki has been one of the constants of my life since 2009 and I felt so ready for this next step. The reason I wanted to do it was to train my family members in Azerbaijan. So when I went to see them in October, I had a first degree initiation with my sister-in-law and my niece. It felt magical to be a part of their journey in this way.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve got a lot more to say about 2022, but this is the top card for now.

What’s your 2022 proud list? Let me know.

P.S. If you want to make 2023 extra special, I’m offering a 3-hour healing experience on ‘What Do I Want?’. Sometimes you want things because you were conditioned or told what to want. If you want to find out your heart’s true longing, here’s the link to join my class live.

P.P.S. My 5-week ‘Unlock Unlimited Love & Money’ course is still on sale. We’re starting in January and I hope that you’ll join this adventure to make 2023 the best year yet.
