Who is Telling The Story?
Thank you to everyone who joined my ‘You are NOT your story’ free call to celebrate the launch of Fragile Freedom on Friday.
If you haven’t had a chance to tune in, we explored ways in which you can identify with parts of your psyche that felt hurt at some point. So then whatever story you tell yourself may not necessarily be the whole story.
It’s a perspective of the wounded aspect.
When you heal these wounded parts, your story may change dramatically.
Take Fragile Freedom.
I spent a couple of decades telling my ‘poor me’ story (mostly to myself and an endless number of therapists). In this story bad things happened to me. It wasn’t my fault and I was very unlucky.
My wounded parts knew exactly where to put an emphasis to draw out the response that they needed. For a long time, they confused pity with love.
By healing my wounded parts, today, I can tell a very different version of that story, in which bad things still happen, but I’m not a helpless victim.
It’s like you can say the same sentence but put an emphasis on different words, giving it different meaning each time.
That’s exactly what happened when I told the story from my presence, not from a wounded part.
The effect? People read it and find the story inspiring.
The same story, a very different narrator.
The next time you’re telling someone your story, notice who’s narrating it. Don’t shame or make that part wrong. Just take note of what needs healing.
P.S. In my experience, most of these stories have deep roots. They are rooted in our ancestral and parental stories and without healing the origin of that wounding, it can be hard to let go of that learnt helplessness completely. This is why the entire focus of my practitioner training is on stepping into your power. This theme runs through every live call and interaction we have in the course. As a result, you’ll undergo a deep process of healing, while learning how to use this framework with other people. If you feel called, join me today. My special offer is still valid for another 24 hours to accommodate various time zones: https://www.gularavincent.co.uk/blog/my-best-offer-yet
P.P.S. If practitioner training is a stretch, join my 5-week course. You see, the stories that your wounded parts tell don’t just live in your mind; they are stored in your body. One of the ways in which you suppress that old pain is by pushing it down with food (Netflix, smoking, alcohol, courses and other distractions). It’s time to put it all to rest. Join me live: www.gularavincent.co.uk/end-emotional-eating
And if you join me in the next 24 hours, you’ll get a 9-module home study course for free. It’ll help you to release suppressed emotions (and stories) at the ancestral level: www.gularavincent.co.uk/rescue-remedy
P.P.P.S. Finally, if you haven’t had a chance to join my free call on ‘You are NOT your story’, here’s the recording: https://youtu.be/H8czS1KBURg
One of the people who attended the call sent me the sweetest message that brought me to tears. She also very kindly supplied me with a testimonial about the call:
“Gulara’s one hour session was the singular, most profound healing I have received in 51 years of working on myself. Gulara’s intuition, her gentleness, her powerful focus, combined to zero in on the core issue that had steered my life and pain for over 66 years. I recommend getting a taste of her magic.”
With all my love
Gulara
