Do This For Your Children

I’ve been on my healing path since 2005. To my mind, I was doing a lot to heal, but it was having my son that quadrupled my healing. For all my vows to never be like my careers, I was repeating my mother’s and grandmother’s patterns.

For example, it took me a while to see that I was running my grandmother’s programme of martyrdom. I hardly slept for the first few years of my children’s lives, hovering over them day and night and… feeling utterly exhausted. I hardly had any energy to enjoy them, limiting myself to doing the essentials and missing out on what really mattered.

I thought that loving my children hard is the way for them to feel loveable.

It took me a couple of years to realise that taking care of my needs was the most important way to model self-love. I started dancing regularly, which made me feel fit and happy, making my connection with my children so much better.

Instilling into our children something that you don’t feel doesn’t really work.

Take the feeling good enough. For all your good intentions, you can't make your children feel enough, if you don’t transmit that energy.

Children don’t do as they are told. They do what they see and feel.

You need to live feeling good enough and model it to them, so that they can experience it too.

Enough-ness starts with you. Are you ready to pass this gift onto your children?

P.S. If a sense of not enough-ness permeates your life, I have a very special invitation for you. Join my 5-week ‘I Am Enough’ course now to receive a super early bird discount. The first 10 people who join the course will also receive a 3-hour healing experience ‘Tuning Into Trust’ for free (normally £99) + an audio course ‘Calm Communication’.

Here's what Dimitra said about her experience of this course.
