What’s Your Mother’s Trauma?

I was working with a client recently who wanted to free her authentic self and unlock her creativity.

Right from the start of the session she mentioned that she felt a lot of shame in life. This shame, which didn’t have a particular story attached to it, felt very old, so I took her back to her mother’s womb. Indeed, it transpired that her dad was abusive towards her mother while my client was in the womb, and her mother felt a lot of shame around being mistreated like that. We did some healing but it felt like we touched the tip of an iceberg.

‘Do you know what was your mother’s trauma,’ I asked something I don’t normally ask.

‘Oh yes,’ the client said and relayed the story of her mother’s traumatic life.

Her mother came from a family who was persecuted for their ethnic origin. They had to flee their home, loosing her older siblings in the process of relocation. Her traumatised and broke parents couldn’t cope and sent her off to an orphanage at the age of 6. She had never recovered from that separation, blaming herself and her physical defects for their decision. Feeling deeply unlovable, she chose a man who mistreated her. She spent the rest of her life feeling unfulfilled and unhappy.

Now decades on, her daughter feels unfulfilled and unhappy. She was essentially living her mother’s story: different circumstances, but the same energetic pattern. Every time something good happened, she sabotaged herself, as if happiness felt dangerous and unreliable.

This is surprisingly common in life.

Whether you’re aware of it or not, you take on your mother’s stories, especially if she was not able to resolve them for herself. You do it unconsciously out of love, loyalty and solidarity with your mother, even if you have a difficult relationship with her. So this hurt and pain get passed down from one generation to another until someone stops and says enough is enough.

Are you ready to do it for yourself and the generations to come?

P.S. I’m running a 12-week online course to heal the blocks to your relationships at a personal and intergenerational levels. My session with Gulara was amazing, it was beyond all my expectations. Before the session i thought of what to say, what i want to clear and so on but there was no need for that at all. From the beginning of the session she took me to a smooth clearing journey and she was so professional and so precise, at one point i felt like she could read my mind 🙂 I was so suprised and impressed by the accuracy of the clearing statements. I repeated the English clearing statements in Turkish and that was a nice warm conversation between us. I was lucky that she knew Turkish and translated few words when i couldn’t remember 🙂 I definitely recommend Gulara’s beautiful guidance. Thank you so much Gulara 🙏🏻❤️

Oh wow…that was the most beautiful heart centered healing session I had with Gulara. Her kind eyes, voice and compassionate energy and spot on intuition just helped melt the ice that had frozen in my heart and felt so dark and heavy. For the first time I feel free and relieved, heard, seen, safe. It’s a beautiful feeling and I can’t wait to see what unfolds in the next few days. Absolutely grateful for this session.
